NACCHO in coordination with the Radiation Injury Treatment Network (RITN) is conducting a Radiation Community Reception Center (CRC) Exercise in the exhibit hall on April 20-21. All interested Preparedness Summit attendees may participate as actors simulating public evacuees fleeing a large-scale radiation release. Actual radiation monitoring equipment will be in-use and CRC station functions will be simulated. Each station in the CRC layout will also have representatives from national and federal agencies describing their radiation resources and products. This exercise is a great chance to learn more about radiation response activities, CRCs, and radiation preparedness resources. The exercise will be operating at the following times: - Wednesday, April 20: o Noon-1:30PM o 5:00 -7:00PM - Thursday, April 21: o Noon-1:30PM Please stop by at other times for additional information. All attendees that participate as actors will be entered into a raffle to win prizes! Prize winners will be announced on Thursday, April 21 between 3:00-3:30PM.
