Our industry is burning out BD and marketing professionals with wasted work and constant correction of defects. Talented professionals spend way too much time fixing mistakes and reworking existing information when they should be focused on the development of relationships and creative, well-presented content. Fortunately, Lean tools and practices from across industries can deliver huge savings to AEC BD and Marketing professionals, enabling improved deliverables and happier professionals.
This session is focused on improving the work flow of BD/marketing processes across the pursuit lifecycle. Participants will learn core Lean concepts to enable evaluation and improvement of their existing systems. The session will help participants identify value-added activities in their BD/marketing processes and eliminate non-value added activities that take time away from quality and performance.
Participants will learn the common sources of waste and be able to identify them in their own work. We will walk through a common value stream, highlighting how to map the current state and develop a new, more efficient future state, including how to use tools and technology more effectively to save time, resources, and energy. The session will be highly interactive, with participants working in small groups to design improvements for common BD and/or marketing processes.
