We will discuss historical and clinical clues to develop a list of differential diagnoses. Specific treatments will be reviewed to aid in therapy once an accurate diagnosis is made.

Robert Kennis

Professor of Veterinary Dermatology
Auburn University

Bob Kennis received his DVM from Michigan State University in 1989 and completed his residency in 1993. In 1996 he was recruited by Texas A&M University as a clinical instructor and completed a Master’s degree in the field of veterinary immunology. In 2005 he moved to Auburn University and holds the rank of Professor. Dr. Kennis is a diplomate of the ACVD and the past president of the AAVD. He has presented numerous continuing education seminars at the state, national and international levels. He has received several teaching awards including the Pfizer Distinguished Teacher award at both Auburn and at Texas A&M, and the Texas A&M Association of Former Students’ distinguished achievement award. His research interests include food allergy, endocrine alopecia, and feline bacterial infections.
