Bruce Keene

Professor
NC State University

Dr. Keene graduated from the Ohio State University, interned at the Animal Medical Center in NY, and completed a residency in cardiology at Ohio State, becoming board certified in 1983. Following a stint at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, Dr. Keene completed an American Heart Association post-doc fellowship, and then was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 5 years before joining the faculty at NC State. Dr. Keene is currently the Jane Lewis Seaks Distinguished Professor of Companion Animal Medicine at NC State, where he has practiced since 1990. Dr. Keene's research interests include clinical trial design and conduct, the treatment of heart failure in dogs and cats, and the safety and efficacy interventional techniques.
