This session will review new recommendations for preventive care for babies, children and adolescents. Evidence-based recommendations and major guidelines will be addressed. New information from the most recent Rourke and Greig pediatric guides will be explored.

Dr. Anita Greig MD FCFP is a family physician in Toronto . She is the primary author of the Greig Health Record, an evidenced-base preventive care tool for children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years. The record has been endorsed by the Canadian Paediatric Society and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. The tool is used as a template for and guide to child and adolescent preventive care. This tool is now used across Canada by family doctors and paediatricians. Dr. Greig was awarded the CFPC's Award of Excellence for this work.
Dr. Greig is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She teaches medical students and residents and has won a number of teaching awards. She is the lead physician for the Otter Creek Family Health Organization.
