Medical Cannabis for Chronic Pain: What's the Buzz?

Friday, November 24
9:15 AM - 10:15 AM

Chronic pain management is a true challenge to all of us in practice. The advent of medical cannabis as a treatment option seems to bring an opportunity for another management option. Learn the good and bad about this class of drug and the options for treatments. Should you utilize this class of drug or should you oppose the concept? We will review the current College of Family Physicians of Canada recommendations for medical cannabis therapy and discuss how to choose the right therapy for the right patient. Recognize that we need to be just as vigilant with this class of drug as we are with opioids, however.
