Mixing and Matching: Layering Psychiatric Medications as Family Physicians

Thursday, November 23
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Often, psychopharmacologic treatment of psychiatric conditions involves combining medications in an appropriate manner. In this workshop, we will discuss a number of scenarios where this occurs. This will include augmenting a partial response to antidepressants, dealing with treatment resistant depressions, treating acute manic conditions, dealing with insomnia, dealing with anxiety disorders, schizoaffective disorder, among others. Participants will be encouraged to bring up some of their own cases where issues of "layering" occurred.
