A review of the updated SOGC guidelines on oral contraception. Special attention to adjusting oral contraception, maximizing non-contraceptive benefits, using progestin only contraception and emergency contraception.

Dr Shuman attended Queen's Medical School prior to completing her residency and fellowship in Women's Health and Low Risk Obstetrics at University of Toronto. She has been staff at Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team for close to 5 years, where she continues to practice full spectrum family medicine and low risk obstetrics. Additionally, continues to work at the Bay Centre for Birth Control.
