Allison Titman is an Accreditation Program Officer at the American Alliance of Museums. She joined AAM in 2014 after working for several years at historic house museums in Maryland. She was the Assistant Director/Curator at the Hammond-Harwood House in Annapolis, Maryland, and prior to that the Assistant Director at two historic houses operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Her previous experience also includes work at the Women’s Memorial at Arlington Cemetery and the National Museum of American History, as well as internships at the National Museum of Natural History and the Paley Center for Media. Ms. Titman holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from the George Washington University and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from Barnard College at Columbia University, and is currently pursuing an MBA. She is the President of the Small Museum Association and past President of the Friends of the Greenbelt Museum.
