Recently retired from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Department of Neurology. Dr. Laatsch provided outpatient cognitive rehabiliation and supportive psychotherapy to children and adults with acquired brain injury for 22 years. She also provided comprehensive neuropsychological and academic testing to a range of patients. Research involved fMRI and recovery from cognitive deficits following cognitive rehabilitation. Dr. Laatsch has over 50 publications, including 3 book chapters. While retired, Dr. Laatsch is leading a evidence based review on effective cognitive and emotional treatments with children who have an ABI.
