Target Audience: Student
Learning Focus: Emerging Issues and Trends
Students often struggle determining the right path to take to meet their post-graduation career goals and dreams. Not knowing what options and resources are available can lead to uninformed decisions that can impact their well-being and livelihood. Students, and faculty who advise and counsel students about career decisions, will learn about tools and available resources to assist them in this process. Based on the experience of and strategies used by the Iowa Practice Opportunities Coordinator, participants will be guided through the process that has helped many previous students be successful.
Learning Objectives:
- Utilize tools shared during the workshop for career planning.
- Identify resources that are available at a local, state and federal level that can assist with career goal progression and achievement.
- Teach faculty how to guide students through the self-realizing and resources identification processes to determine their future.
Teach students how to determine their future using the tools and resources introduced to them.
