Monday Morning Mentoring is a new initiative sponsored by New York University College of Dentistry. It is a form of "Microlearning" or the condensing of material into short, very specific chunks of information that can be accessed on personal devices. Each week the NYU Office of Professional Development's Monday Morning Mentoring presents a different topic to its community, alternating between teaching and learning and career development. Topics covered thus far include Public Speaking, Managing Emails, Peer Learning, Conducting Effective Meetings, Receiving Feedback, Dealing with Distractions, and Interleaved Instruction. This presentation will illustrate how to create a microlearning program.
Learning Objectives:
- Define "microlearning."
- Give examples of effective microlearning.
- Design a microlearning program.
