In the fast paced and demanding schedule of teaching, it is often difficult to find time to communicate basic information essential to patient care. We created online SoftChalk modules geared to both students and faculty to teach critical thinking. This online module has been adapted and applied to a flipped classroom educating students about how to handle the disclosure of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), a challenging classroom topic. Data collected from students and faculty from a pre and post survey (IRB 15.0853 and 16.0463) indicates that these online critical thinking modules, especially the one focusing on IPV, were effective.

Learning Objectives:

Develop teaching activities to communicate essential information through technology in an interactive manner.
Create assessment tools for new teaching activities.
Apply critical thinking skills in developing new curriculum.
