Clinical technology is a key component to improving patient care, safety and satisfaction. In order to educate our students for the future, it is critical to expose them to the state-of-the-art technology that they are likely to use in clinical practice. Obtaining, integrating, managing and sustaining new technology involves strategic planning in collaboration with finance, clinic administration, information technology and academic leaders in the dental school. This workshop will focus on guiding faculty in the creation of a strategic plan for requesting new technology in their dental school clinic and maximizing their chances of getting their proposal accepted.

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participants will be able to identify and outline the information needed to request new program funding.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to develop a strategic plan to request funding for new technology.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to integrate both clinical and financial impact into project planning and analysis.
