An online demonstration of learning tools will feature online lectures, budget simulations and self-efficacy assessments on how to navigate patients through healthcare systems and use health information technology to improve care. We will provide context that describes how market forces are influencing public policy and changes in dental utilization patterns for underserved communities. In a group discussion, we will examine how dental schools can prepare students for modern practice that includes safety net care.
Learning Objectives:

- Demonstrate awareness of national curricula and educational tools in practice-based and higher education settings available for strengthening safety net dental practice and leadership competencies.
- Discuss solutions that meet the safety net dental skill-development needs of potential learners.
