How can programs ensure graduate students are competent for 2030 and beyond? CODA's definition of competence is broad and interpreted independently by each program. Because reaching consensus on the hierarchy of curricular content is a difficult process, strategies to help disciplines come to agreement should be sought. Using the Delphi Method, orthodontic education experts were surveyed to arrive at a consensus on curriculum content and competencies in growth and development. This seminar will present the research methods used to arrive at expert consensus and how participants can apply this methodology to develop curriculum and competencies in dental education programs.
