Assessing library staff and services is often the catalyst for the development of library leaders, greater customer engagement and increased community cohesion. Learn how two “accidental business librarians” developed business services in public libraries while promoting patron inclusion and engagement for small business owners. Attendees will hear from a librarian who learned about business reference while on the job and from a library manager who created a business services team by matching staff strengths with community needs. Measurements and outcomes for program growth and staff development and will be shared during the session.
