Library circulation and access services are under increasing pressure to evolve and expand to meet contemporary service demands, with managers of these areas finding themselves leading in an age of constant iteration. In this panel session, presenters from public and academic libraries relay their experiences guiding circulation and access services departments in an age of constant transition and iteration. As libraries develop innovative initiatives and focus increasingly on user experiences, circulation and access services departments are on the front-line of developing, implementing, observing, and experiencing the changes. Attendees will hear from library managers about their user-focused initiatives and the strategies they are using to help their staff evolve with new ways of thinking, enhanced technical and soft-skills, and more.
