Filmed over a period of ten years from 2000-2010, “Changing Face of Harlem” is a contemporary cultural story that touches upon urban living, The Black American experience, and gentrification in Black communities. It provides a unique perspective of the transition of a neighborhood from the residents and small business owners who call it home, while also investigating the national phenomenon of gentrification alongside the historical backdrop of the world renowned neighborhood of Harlem.
