Dr. Suzanne M. Stauffer, Associate Professor in the School of Library and Information Science at LSU, earned an MLS in 1986 and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from UCLA in 2004. She has been on the faculty of SLIS since 2006, where she teaches courses related to children's services in public libraries, school librarianship, and the history of print and digital culture. Her research interests include the history of American school and public libraries as social and cultural institutions, the history of education for librarianship in the U.S., and gender issues in American public and school library history. She is currently serving as a member-at-large of the Library History Round Table.
