Physical model tests are conducted in a wave flume (110 m long, 2.2 m wide and 2.0 m deep) to measure the wave overtopping of a 1:6 sloped stepped revetment. The objective of this study is to present an empirical approach for predicting the wave overtopping discharge of a stepped revetment. In order to adhere to the widely applied guidelines of EurOtop (2016), the influence factor for roughness (ɣf), will be presented for stepped revetments.
