Coastal Engineering Consultants
Michael Poff is President of Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. He holds a Master’s Degree in coastal engineering from the University of Delaware. His expertise is in ecosystem restoration, erosion control, beach renourishment, inlet and waterway management, and marine structures.
His Louisiana work emphasizes marsh and estuarine wetlands design and creation as well as the habitat acreage assessments required for project approval. He was privileged to serve as the lead for Louisiana’s 2017 Coastal Master Plan Barrier Island Restoration Model Development Team.
As Principal Engineer Mr. Poff has overseen the design, permitting, and construction of the Bay Joe Wise Headland, Riverine Mining/Scofield Island, Caminada Headland Beach and Dune PH I and II, Caillou Lake Headlands (aka Whiskey Island) Barrier Shoreline Restoration Projects. His current projects that are in the design and permit phases include West Grand Terre, Timbalier Island, Trinity Island, and Breton Island.
Mr. Poff resides in Naples with his wife, Danielle of 20 years, and their daughters, Mallory and Victoria.
