Íñigo Aniel-Quiroga, MSc Coastal Engineering, is a member of the coastal engineering and management group of the IHCantabria. His research is focused on tsunami hazard numerical model and assessment, Coastal flooding and marine structures. He has been a researcher in projects funded by the European Union, Spanish CICYT, as well as by several Spanish public administrations (State Ports Authority, Directorate General for Coasts, etc.). He is the co-author of dozens of papers and international congresses participations regarding tsunami hazards assessment and tsunami-structures interaction and he is reviewer of several international scientific journals. He has managed the calculations of the tsunami events database of the Tsunami warning systems of Spain and Oman, and he has developed studies of tsunami hazard assessment in several parts of the world, such as Chile, Peru, El Salvador, Spain or Jamaica.
