After 3 years of research and development Delta Marine Consultants are introducing a new regularly placed concrete armour unit, XblocPlus. The shape of this unit is optimized for stability, porosity, concrete use and ease of placement. It can be placed up to three times faster than other armour units and it requires up to 33% less units on the slope as compared with other blocks. Hydraulic model tests have proven the stability of the XblocPlus which has an increased design safety margine. The shape and design principles of this block will be explained in the poster presentation.
