This study presents the results of a numerical modeling study on the harbor agitation of Kumkapi Yacht Park, at the Marmara coast of Istanbul, 2.5 km west of the southern entrance of Bosphorus strait, for the ferry and sea bus waves using SWASH (Zijlema et al. 2011). Based on the results of the numerical simulations, a minimum extension of 100 m for the main breakwater, a speed limit of 10 knots for the ferries passing nearby, a secondary floating type breakwater of 50 m long next to the slipway, and a wave absorbing perforated type quay wall application are proposed.
