A numerical model to simulate cross-shore hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and beach profile evolution in the nearshore was developed. The model consists of various modules, describing wave transformation, mean water level, cross-shore currents, and cross-shore sediment transport that are physics-based and have been validated with laboratory and field data. High-quality laboratory data from the SUPERTANK data collection project were employed to validate the model including experimental cases with bar, berm, and offshore mound evolution. The results obtained by the model have a good agreement with the measurements, indicating the model is reliable to predict cross-shore transport and profile evolution.
