Dramatic water depth change, deep water condition, irregular coastline and the mixture of ocean swell and local wind-generated wave make the numerical simulation in Norwegian fjords challenging. A 3D CFD model REEF3D is used to simulation the regular wave, unidirectional irregular wave and multi-directional irregular wave in such condition in a large-scale. The CFD simulations show detailed wave free-surface and wave transformations and demonstrate complex wave height distribution in the fjords. The comparison with spectral wave model address the importance of phase-resolved model in the coastal water.
