In this work a comparison between a range of transfer functions to recover wave height from pressure sensors is conducted. Pressure sensors data are obtained from an experimental campaign carried out in a large-scale wave flume at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain). Pressure sensors, wave gauges and acoustic wave gauges measurements are compared in deep water, shoaling and wave breaking conditions. Results show that, as the steepness of the wave increases in the shoaling region, all the compared transfer functions deviates up to 20-30% from wave and acoustic wave gauges measurements.
