Coastal Protection Using Vegetation
The present study setups numerous bamboo-made floating sturctures, called an Artificial Marine Forest, to examines the wave-dissipative capability and the durability by using the prototype experiment at the sea. The components of bamboo-made floating sturctures were made by bamboo, nylon rope and sand bags. Twice wave measurement using the ADCP were also carried out . Measured wave heights are appled to estimate the change of wave elevation and the percentage of averaged dissipated power as waves travelling the artificial marine forest. For the estimation of durability, the photos of experimental site frequently taken by the drone.
