Details of US Army Corps of Engineers preparation, physical response, and recovery from three major 2017 hurricanes as well as application of Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC) numerical model research tools are presented. ERDC R&D storm surge and inland flooding models were applied to assist in the preparation and response to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. ADCIRC surge forecast applications for Texas (Harvey) and Lake Okeechobee (Irma) were provided to Districts to prepare for these events. Prior to landfall in Puerto Rico, ERDC applied a rapid numerical modeling tool (AutoRoute) to estimate inland flooding from Hurricane Maria.
