Due to significant shoreline erosion and regional subsidence, a restoration project was initiated for the Caminada Headlands to protect Port Fourchon and inland marshlands. Borros type soil anchors and settlement plates were installed to monitor consolidation and subsidence due to the headland construction. Inverse settlement analyses modeled the headlands' settlement with time and predicted its susceptibility to overwash.
