Internal waves show deformation when they reach a continental shelf from the deep ocean. In the present study, the set of nonlinear equations based on the variational principle, was solved numerically, to simulate the internal waves in two-layer systems over topography, with a slope or a mound, in consideration of both the strong nonlinearity, and the strong dispersion, of waves.
