When multiple islands are located in a shallow sea, the wave-sheltering effect of one island affects the wave field around the other island, and sand bars connecting these islands may develop because of their wave-sheltering effect. In the south part of Thailand, the Krabi resort facing the Andaman Sea is located, and a shallow sea extends offshore of this resort with multiple islands, and sand bars of characteristic shape extend between the islands. Field observation was carried out in 2016 to investigate the mechanism of elongation of these sand bars. Then, topographic changes were predicted using the BG model.
