Simon David, ASLA, AIA

Principal & Founder

Simon David is PLA, urban designer and trained architect with extensive experience in the design of world-class resilient urban communities. Founding Principal at OSD, Simon oversees Sprint’s Global Headquarters, Gotham Greens Headquarters, and works with organizations such as Chase and WeWork to redefine the future of communities. Simon was Project Leader at BIG for the BIG U, Phase 1, a $920 Million Coastal Resiliency Project, where he also led several other ASLA award-winning projects. Simon was Senior PM at MVVA on Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Tulsa Gathering Place. Simon teaches architecture and landscape architecture, and lectures and publishes internationally.

Andrew Zientek, ASLA

Andrew Zientek, ASLA is a landscape architect, artist, and educator. His work spans in scale from held object to inhabitable place and oscillates between art, science and landscape. In all endeavors, the focus of work is the connection and displacement between people and their local environments. Andrew leads the landscape architecture practice at Weiss/Manfredi in New York and is currently completing construction administration on the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Overlook project. He earned a MLA from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a BSLA from University of Wisconsin, Madison. Andrew has taught at Harvard’s GSD, Columbia GSAPP, and CCNY.

Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, ASLA, AIA

Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, ASLA, AIA is an associate professor of landscape architecture at City College of New York and principal of Catherine Seavitt Studio. Her research explores adaptation to climate change in urban environments and the novel transformation of landscape restoration practices. She is also interested in the intersection of political power, environmental activism, and public health, particularly as seen through the design of public space and policy. Her recent books include Structures of Coastal Resilience (Island Press, 2018); Depositions: Roberto Burle Marx and Public Landscapes under Dictatorship (University of Texas Press, 2018); and Corridor Workbook (Regional Plan Association, 2017).

Jennifer Cooper-Sabo spearheads an integrated Landscape Architecture practice at Perkins+Will San Francisco. Her award-winning work draws on eighteen years of experience in professional practice and in academia, where she has led performative landscape design studios and published internationally. As part of an interdisciplinary design studio she works with ecologists, urban designers, architects, and researchers to bring natural systems to the forefront of design discourse. She completed her BLA at Clemson University, MLA at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and was the recipient of the Bradford Williams Medal for Journalism.
