Emily has a comprehensive background in design, ecology, and horticulture that has enabled her over the last 13 years to weave together art and science within the sphere of landscape architecture. As Director of Integrative Research, Emily leads a rigorous review of Andropogon’s past and present landscape interventions in order to integrate the best scientific knowledge and the most effective design solutions into practice. Emily is an adjunct professor at NC State University, where she teaches and researches landscape performance, and is a member of the LAF education committee.
