Sonja Vangjeli is a landscape architect and researcher at Waterfront Toronto, and lecturer at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto. She is interested in the productive potential of regional park systems as vital infrastructure, and works toward urban design strategies that balance development priorities with site identity, heritage conservation, and landscape performance. Sonja is alumna of Harvard University Graduate School of Design (MLA 2016), and University of Waterloo (MArch 2013, HBAS 2011). She has worked as landscape designer with Sasaki and West 8, and as researcher with the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure.
