Winner of the 2017 Rudy Bruner Award and a 2017 ASLA Professional Honor Award, one of the largest brownfield sites in the country is now showcased as part of a unique cultural and entertainment campus known as the SteelStacks, contributing to the extensive economic resurgence of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.v

Keiko Tsuruta Tsuruta, ASLA

Principal
WRT, LLC

Keiko is a Principal at WRT with two decades of experience providing creative and inclusive urban places. With degrees in landscape architecture, architecture, and engineering, Keiko uses her interdisciplinary training to provide a unique perspective focused on transforming urban landscape to socially and environmentally resilience community and places. Her projects have included campus master plans, public parks, urban waterfronts, and industrial redevelopments highlighted by 2017 Ruby Bruner Award Gold medalist for Urban Excellence, SteelStacks Arts & Cultural Campus in Bethlehem, PA and the ASLA award-winning Georgetown Waterfront Park. Her experience also led WRT to numbers of international projects and competitions.

Landscape Architecture Practice Leader (Americas)
AECOM

Ignacio is an award-winning landscape architect and practice author focused on the design of urban places. Among his noted projects are Santa Monica’s Palisades Park and Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles; the Georgetown Waterfront Park in Washington, D.C.; and the Steel Stacks Arts and Cultural Campus in Bethlehem, PA. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, a board member of the Landscape Architecture Foundation, and a faculty advisor at the Rose Center for Planning Leadership. Prior to joining AECOM in 2015 Ignacio was a Principal at Wallace Roberts & Todd, LLC.

Tony Hanna

Executive Director
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Bethlehem

Tony Hanna is the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Bethlehem (RDA). The RDA was a key participant in the development of SteelStacks, a cultural arts and entertainment area on the former Bethlehem Steel site. SteelStacks is a collaborative effort with ArtsQuest and PBS 39. The RDA was involved in the development of the Levitt Pavilion, the restoration of the Stock House and its redevelopment as a Visitor Center and offices for ArtsQuest, the Hoover-Mason Trestle, and PNC Plaza, Air Products Town Square and new streets and parking facilities on the site.

Jeffrey is an attorney, author, creative consultant for activation of urban spaces and music business executive, who serves as Chair of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. In 1983 Parks launched his career as a Social Entrepreneur by conceiving Musikfest, which is now the largest free admission music festival in America. The non-profit ArtsQuest, led by Parks for its first 32 years is widely credited with the success of Bethlehem including the revitalization around the dormant Bethlehem Steel Blast Furnaces in navigating the travails of deindustrialization and suburbanization to become a culturally and economically robust twenty-first-century city.

Patrick Cullina Horticultural Design + Consulting

Patrick Cullina is an award-winning horticulturist, landscape designer, photographer, lecturer, and organizational consultant with more than twenty years of experience in the landscape field. Throughout his career he has served as a consultant and advisor to an array of public and private clients and projects and has lectured throughout the U.S. and abroad for universities, public gardens, garden clubs, horticultural organizations, museums, libraries and professional organizations on the subjects of plants, living environments, horticulture, landscape design, landscape maintenance and the urban experience.
