WS-003 - LAAB Accreditation Workshop

This workshop, intended to assist with the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB) accreditation process, is aimed at academic programs interested in LAAB accreditation or preparing for an upcoming accreditation review. Former LAAB board members will provide an overview of the accreditation process timeline and outcomes after a program review is complete.

$50 per person by 6/29; $75 by 9/14; $100 after 9/14

Kristopher Pritchard

American Society of Landscape Architects

Kristopher Pritchard is the Accreditation and Education Programs Manager at the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), serving as the main staff for the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). He works with and manages the accreditation process of landscape architecture programs at universities throughout the US and oversees the ASLA Committee on Education. Before joining ASLA in 2014, he worked in accreditation at the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). He is a graduate of Capella University's MS program in Leadership in Higher Education.

Rodney Swink, FASLA, PLA, is Senior Associate for Planning and Development at PlaceEconomics and a Professor of the Practice at North Carolina State University’s College of Design. From 1984 – 2008, Swink served as director of the North Carolina Main Street Program. Throughout his career he has been a civic leader, serving on numerous boards and commissions, including the City of Raleigh Planning Commission, Board of Advisors for the JC Raulston Arboretum, and Preservation North Carolina where he is currently chairman of the board. He is past President of ASLA and Past Chair of the Council of Fellows.

Stephanie Rolley, FASLA, FCELA, AICP, is Professor and Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. She served as the 2015 Chair of the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board and has served as chair of fourteen Site Visits for the LAAB.
