Biography:
Dr. James Hayman received his medical and master of business administration degrees simultaneously from the University of Chicago in 1991. Following an internship in Evanston IL, he completed his radiation oncology residency at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy at Harvard Medical School. He joined the University of Michigan faculty immediately following his residency in 1996 and currently holds the rank of Professor and serves as the Associate Chair for Clinical Activities in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Hayman's clinical interests include the management of lung, esophageal, breast, skin, eye and central nervous system cancers. He is also board certified in hospice and palliative medicine and involved in health services research with a focus on quality and safety.
