Biography:
Dr. Shaitelman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is a physician specializing in clinical breast radiation oncology. Dr. Shaitelman also has a strong interest in the development and treatment of lymphedema in patients with breast cancer and is working to expand the screening and treatment of such patients. She has published multiple commentaries on publications about lymphedema. Dr. Shaitelman has actively grown a breast brachytherapy program within her department. She has also participated in research in accelerated partial breast irradiation as part of the American Society of Breast Surgeons’ MammoSite Registry Trial.
