Carri Glide-Hurst, PhD

Henry Ford Hospital

Dr. Glide-Hurst is a Medical Physicist and the Director of Translational Research in Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Cancer Institute. She is also an Associate Professor at Wayne State University. She obtained her PhD in Medical Physics from Wayne State University (WSU) in 2007 and then spent two years in postdoctoral training at William Beaumont Hospital. She has since been at Henry Ford Health System, where her primary focus includes implementation of MR-SIM and MR-guided radiation therapy. Dr. Glide-Hurst was awarded a prestigious NIH R01 on MR-only Treatment Planning and is PI/Co-PI on 11 other grants. She has published 48 manuscripts, 4 book chapters, 125 abstracts, and holds 1 patent. She serves on 9 AAPM committees, most notably Strategic Planning Committee, Board of Directors, Co-chair of TG-284 on MR-SIM, Annual Meeting Scientific Track Co-Director, and AAPM Summer School faculty. She serves on ABR Medical Physics Parts 2 and 3 Therapy Exam Committees. Dr. Glide-Hurst is passionate about mentoring future physicists and has mentored 14 residents and 17 researchers in her career.
