Biography:
Katie Bukolt MSN, FNP-C, AOCNP currently employed as a Nurse Practitioner at the Texas Oncology Baylor Sammons Cancer Center in the department of radiation oncology. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with additional certifications as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner and certification in Radiation Oncology. Katie received her BSN Texas Tech university in 1998 and her MSN, FNP-C while living and working in Miami, Fl. at Barry University 2008. She is the current recipient of the Texas Oncology Excellence in Clinical Care Advanced Practice Provider award. She has been working in the field of Radiation Oncology exclusively since 2011 as a Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys helping continue to expand the the Nurse Practitioner role in radiation oncology and is a mentor for new nurse practitioners. She currently serves as one of four committee members for the Advanced Practice Provider Executive Committee for Texas Oncology. She the current president elect for the Dallas Board of Oncology Nursing Society. Katie is an active volunteer in the GDAS local breast cancer clinic that provides care for underfunded and undocumented breast cancer patients. She is a current faculty member of US Oncology’s APP bootcamp. Katie has lectured locally and nationally on a vast array of topics regarding the care of cancer patients receiving radiation therapy in their management.
