This session will provide an overview of strengths/limitations of RCTs and non-randomized/observational studies, and discuss ways to evaluate the quality of published data. In addition, there will be discussions on study design approaches in both RCTs and other studies, including examples of questions that can be asked using different types of observational data. Finally, the practical ways to reconcile conflicting results from different studies will be addressed.
