Special attention will be paid to practical considerations in the design of conformal external beam volumes, the use of chemotherapy and the integration of advanced imaging into brachytherapy planning, particularly MRI. Many of these technologies offer the possibilities with improving the efficacy of treatment while reducing the potential for injury, therefore improving the overall value of radiation therapy in the treatment of this disease.
