A global leadership development curriculum for radiation oncologists has recently been suggested by an international Delphi consensus study. Increasing administrative and reimbursement pressures are changing the medical landscape of current practice. No formalized leadership training program yet exists in the graduate medical education nor MOC setting. This panel will explore how a leadership development curriculum could impact the radiation oncologist of the future and explore strategies to integrate professional development that could enhance the stature of the specialty within multidisciplinary clinical, research and administrative teams.
