Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) has been widely adopted over the past decade and represents one of the major advances in the field. However, there are few educational resources to instruct clinicians on proper usage and best practices. This educational session will use an interactive, case-based approach to explore issues related to IGRT. For each anatomical site, a speaker will present several examples of challenging clinical IGRT scenarios. For some of the scenarios, the audience will be polled to see how they would approach the situation. The speaker will discuss the issues presented by the cases, briefly summarize any relevant data from the literature, and provide practical guidelines and recommendations at the end of each presentation.
