This session will entail the collaboration of two radiation oncologists with expertise in the central nervous system. We will review the anatomy of the brain and spine including adjacent critical structures. With regards to the spine, we will focus on the details of target delineation for intact vertebral bodies. However, there will also be a general overview of applying the same concepts to target delineation for post-operative spine SBRT as well. For the brain we will review contouring in the post-operative setting for brain metastases as well as contouring for a cavernous sinus meningioma. Throughout the session, consensus contouring guidelines will be reviewed. The attendees will be provided with the cases as homework prior to the meeting. We will review contouring homework and discuss areas of consensus and controversy. Finally we will review our contours for the same cases and allow students to revise their contours with input from the presenters. Review of select audience contours in comparison to the teachers' contours will be performed for the purpose of teaching and discussion of acceptable vs. unacceptable deviations.
