057IC - 2018 Coding & Reimbursement Update

Sunday, May 20
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Location: MCC WEST, 2008

This course will provide attendees with an update on coding and reimbursement issues for 2018. Patient compliance with treatment recommendations is optimized when the patient is confident that their insurance coverage is fully utilized to cover the costs of their health care. Accurate use of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT*) codes formulated by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the International Classification of Disease (ICD)codes are critical to filing accurate claims on behalf of the patient. Changes to the government-mandated claims filing requirements and Medicare reimbursement rates require urologists to understand and apply the most up-to-date rules in order to avoid penalties. This course will provide the latest information on accurate and ethical coding and will assist urologists in solving problems they encounter in this complex process. This course will offer interactive audience participation during the presentation to test their knowledge of current urology coding practices.
