John Wei

Dr. John Wei completed his Urology residency training at NYH Cornell Weill Medical Center (1997) followed by Health Services Research training in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program (1999). He is a practicing surgeon and Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. His General Urology practice focuses on male voiding problems (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia – BPH/LUTS) and prostate cancer early detection. Administratively, he is the Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs in the Department of Urology and the Medical Director of the Livonia Center for Specialty Care. His areas of active research are on quality of care assessments, assessment of clinical outcomes, biomarker validations, and evaluation of health related quality of life.
