Tomas Lindor Griebling

Dr. Tomas Lindor Griebling is the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He holds the John P. Wolf 33° Masonic Distinguished Professorship in Urology, and is a Faculty Associate in The Landon Center on Aging. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine, he completed his urology residency and a two-year fellowship in Geriatric and Reconstructive Urology, Urodynamics and Outcomes Research also at Iowa (funded by an American Foundation for Urologic Disease / AUA Research Scholar Award). He earned his Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas. He is certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Urology, and holds Fellow designation in the American College of Surgeons, the Gerontological Society of America, and the American Geriatrics Society, and is certified in public health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

Dr. Griebling is recognized for his expertise in aging and urology, and recently served as Editor-in-Chief for the comprehensive textbook Geriatric Urology. He is President of the Geriatric Urological Society of the AUA, and Chair of the Health Sciences Section of the Gerontological Society of America. He serves on Editorial Boards for the Journal of Urology, Urology, Neurourology & Urodynamics, International Urology & Nephrology, and the Journal of Surgical Education. He was recently named one of the Top 10 physicians in the Kansas City metropolitan area by Ingram’s Magazine, and has received the Kemper Award for Teaching Excellence and the Ruth Bohan Teaching Professorship, the two top University of Kansas teaching awards. Dr. Griebling has recently been named recipient of a 2017 Distinguished Service Award from the American Urological Association (AUA).
